2 Samuel 22:3-7
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. PrepMetro's Original Intent

This site was first conceived in the year 2000 with the hope that Memphis High School Alumni would take advantage of a free service to accommodate an extensive Web site for each of those high school alumni wishing to participate. Alas!, after seven years the conclusion has been reached that only those who attended South Side High School were willing. All other schools had no interest other than a site for their particular Class. Apparently they are anti-social as far as other Classes are concerned. This isn't the case with the South Side Scrapper Alumni.

I have found that South Side Scrapper Alumni, and South Memphians in general, are a very close-knit group of people. No matter what Class, they care about and associate with their School-mates and South Memphis friends. From the 1930's through the 1970's, they are avid participants in their South Side Scrapper Alumni Web site.

I can only conclude that the circumstances that so infuenced these Scrappers, only existed in South Memphis and didn't extend to other parts of Memphis.

Perhaps in the future some other use can be found for this site. But in the meantime you might be interested in those things posted to "Josephus' Chalkboard" .

Note:

I regret to say that the original offer is no longer available due to other commitments. I am only one person and just don't have the time anymore.
